I don't understand how this place doesn't have a higher rating. This place was AMAZING. The ambiance was incredible. I loved the secret entrance, and the secret password we needed for our reservation. Only down size for me personally was they were very short staffed. Our waitress Chanel was our waitress, and everyone's bartender. So the wait sometimes took a little longer. But she was KILLING it. She was super sweet and very helpful with the menu choices. LETS TALK ABOUT THE FOOD!! Cause BABY! It was absolutely AMAZING. cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious and very flavorful. No complaints at all. The sweet potato corn bread is to die for! This is your sign to order it!! I can't wait to try this place again. The restaurant does add gratuity to your bill, and it was only two of us. Just a little FYI but it's totally worth it. Parking was good. We parked in a parking lot right behind the restaurant. About a 5 minute walk. Maybe even less. It was like 6$ for parking.

Everything about our experience was 10/10. Our waiter, Derrick, was absolutely amazing from recommending items on the menu to paying attention to every detail. He made sure my friend's bday experience was immaculate.

Madame Fortune has potential. It's a speakeasy type restaurant and bar. I wouldn't call it a lounge. It is 21+, so not family friendly. The dishes are Caribbean inspired so "curry" "jerk" "oxtail" are some buzz words you will see on the menu. I went only for drinks at around 10pm. I did order the oxtail nachos (not on the menu), I enjoyed the flavors and it was a good option to share for our table of two. Our table was rocking like the Titanic, which was a little annoying and we told your server but it was never rectified. Keep in mind, 20% service tip is already included in the check.

This restaurant is a whole vibe. The ambiance reflects dim lighting and puts you in the mindset of a speakeasy. It was noisier than most speakeasies I have been to. My server was kind but did not provide any refills for my soda only the alcohol. We were not told that the lamb chops would not come with 4 as pictured and described. She later told us that she forgot. Overall, it was great for dinner. Be sure to visit 7th and Grove for better music and more of a lounge vibe.

I waited until I had quite a few meals under my belt before I decided to do my review so now I'm sure Madame Fortune really deserves the 5 stars I want to offer. Madame Fortune is a speakeasy with Caribbean inspired dishes, located behind the "secret" bookcase once u give the passcode for the week. The password changes weekly so you have to make a reservation on open table so they can send it to you ahead of your reservation. It's located inside of Roast Deli which looks like a coffee shop and bakery from the street. It's a pretty small dining room so it gets filled quickly so trying to go as a walk in isn't a great idea on Fridays and Saturdays when they're most busy. Now let's get to the food... Chef Ed really knows what he's doing in that kitchen. Here are the things I've tried, ordered from most to least liked and what I thought of them... Oxtail Pepperpot Snapper Lobster & Shrimp Curry Stew Lobster Macaroni Seafood Rice Cook Up Truffle Mushroom Omelet Beignets Blackened Citrus Salmon & Crabcake Shrimp & Chicken Curry Alfredo My rating of the Alfredo is possibly a bit skewed because I ordered it to go. Alfredo is never good when it's reheated.
